AWARDS: INMOBI AND MINDSHARE TAKE HOME MMA SMARTIES
 
Call it the Oscars for mobile marketing, the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) recognized the best campaigns in the industry with the Smarties Awards. InMobi teamed up with global media and marketing services network, Mindshare, to create two award-winning campaigns.
 
Innovation Award: To celebrate the 35th anniversary of “free cone day” the mobile campaign celebrated the friendship of Ben and Jerry. The rich media experience encouraged mobile users to click on an attractive banner ad and then take a picture with a friend to appear on the friendship timeline within the ad. Users could save the Free Cone Day event to their calendar. It was the first time a rich media ad unit could access the phone’s camera and photo album.

Best In-App Advertising Award: The campaign featured the popular arcade game Pac-Man as it returns with Superior Germ Protection. The rich media ad was designed for Lifebuoy, a brand of antiseptic Unilever body wash.
